When you wonder if these corporations and "services" are secure with your data, remember the bloody police are not secure with their most vital data. More than 100,000 UK police officers and staff have had their full names, contact details and force locations leaked on the dark web.

Most people approach ethics & epistemology as tactics of positioning & browbeating spurred by an affective experience. If something sucked, then that means it was unfair & predicated on untruth, all that's left is conjuring a rationalization. Whereupon disagreeing means asserting it didn't suck.

My wife and I cried tears of relief after we got our first COVID shots. It was a scientific miracle and I’ll never forgive the people who’ve done everything they could to undermine it.

The polarization isn't coming from social media. The polarization is coming from the fact that half of the politicians and 36% of the voters openly support ethnic cleansing policies, and 64% of the voters do not support ethnic cleansing. Normal people don't want to be civil with ethnic cleansers.

There is no version of yourself you could become that would satisfy the people who hate you. So you might as well be who you are.

People still complain about “lockdowns” but we had none in the US. We had stay-at-home orders, where although businesses were closed, you could still go outside whenever you wanted. Other countries had far stricter rules, and yet have been much more accepting of them as they saved many more lives.
