This is a beautiful little tarn and quite easy to get to. The Langdale Pikes in the distance and the fells covered with trees. Cows are grazing in the foreground .
I have a large oil painting in progress of this view in the Autumn. One day I’ll finish it!

A very hot day on Monday and the humidity felt even higher in the woodland. The bracken is already showing signs of autumn.

I love this view and it is a great place to get a view of a long distance sunset.

Photograph taken using a macro setting of my first strawberry of the year. It's not massive or Waitrose-perfect, but it's bright red, probably tastes delicious and I grew it myself.

Thoroughly enjoyed growing fruits, vegetables and herbs this year. Peas were a triumph! Planning winter veg now.

An old oak tree with limbs and branches growing in distorted angles is covered with green lichen. The photo is shot at an angle that looks down one of the large, horizontal branches, making it look larger than the rest of the tree. Some idiot carved "M+A" into the tree's bark, the bark now blackened and scarred. Above we see smaller branches and leaves. #ECK #PostProcess #Converge Photos: @rjrock.bsky.social To achieve Rock's "restrained and realistic," I kept the colors desaturated. The blacks may be "crushed" but realistically at night they would be. I used Lightroom photo merge, made masks for minute light and clarity adjustments.

Biew of the lake from our deck. Though this is a small shallow cove, it is part of a bigger, long, narrow lake. You can see by the visible reeds and rocks, the water is quite low.

As I was taking the photo a hazy sun appeared in between the hands.
I have made the photo monochrome with a brownish tinge to make it arty farty

A cow statue is mounted to an iron plate that's mounted to a wood plank trailer along the side of a street. The cow is half pale pink (as the background), and the other half of the cow is turquoise. There is a white banner painted on the cow's side that says, "Find love in all the local places." There are also some small paintings depicting the ocean, farming, the Mission that is in San Luis Obispo and historical buildings. The front half of the cow is predominantly pink with turquoise horns. Located in San Luis Obispo, California.

A full-grown black cow (male) is eating from a red bucket on the side of a hill while a small, wobbly black calf is struggling to stand. The calf's mother was out of the frame with another calf the same size. They were looking for one another and reunited as I stood there watching. Not visible is what appeared to be the umbilical cord still hanging from the calf. They are standing on barren hills of dirt under a blue sky. San Luis Obispo, California

The small, wobbly black calf managed to walk towards me, wondering what I am while another full grown black cow eats from a red bucket in the dirt on a hill. The calf's mother was out of the frame to the left and had another black calf the same size as this one. They eventually reunited. San Luis Obispo, California
