I am pleased with how my betta fish dish came out. I’m having a lot of fun playing with the glaze on these fish!

Literally what fandom discourse has turned into I fear.

The added hilarity is that not only do the make a scale of coping with cyberpunk dystopias, they are also all millennials canonically. Major (1993) Faye (1994) Misato (1986)

@shing.bsky.social's "The Last Fifteen Minutes" is a short musical (with puppets!) that tells the story of a group of neighbors in LA facing the end during a kaiju attack. It's gorgeous and funny and sad and lovely, and Shing's puppets and props and sets are just astounding.

A friend of mine found these three kittens behind a Bay Area gas station. They are tame, vaccinated, and incredibly affectionate. Unfortunately, she's unable to keep them and I'm trying to find them a home. They are at risk of going to a shelter. Bay Area people, are you open to adopting?

In my experience, scholars of a particular historical period are the LEAST uptight about "accuracy" in fictional representations of their period, which is why, as a medievalist, I can assure you that A Knight's Tale is the greatest movie set in medieval England that has ever been made.

ICE shot this man, a loving husband and father of three, dead, for the crime of going to work Tuesday morning. His family's gofundme for funeral/services is about halfway to its goal gofund.me/660ca4364

Every time ICE kills some, I find myself right back here. This time, it was someone about the same age as my parents, whose life was shaped a lot like theirs.

I keep thinking about this Alex Ross painting of The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen that is, for some reason, also the cast of 30 Rock

Fare thee well, my beautiful boy. I’m so glad so happy you are free of SM and now you will continue to thrive in your acting career in China.

it's a sad day, for sure.
