Trans people need your help So do disabled people - who WILL be negatively affected by it So do cis women - who WILL ne negatively affected by it Don't believe me? It's in the Govt's own damn Impact Assessment! This code is beyond stupid. It tries, and fails, to fix a problem that DOES NOT EXIST

🚨 BREAKING We are supporting a legal challenge to the Code of Practice. And we need your help. Join us in fighting back 👇

Cis people, the Code does not "impose legal obligations" either on the user or the provider It is not "an authoritative statement of the law: only the courts and tribunals can provide such authority" Leonardo vs Kelly NHS vs Peggy Do not out yourself, place yourself at harm, or do so to others

Status of the Code
1.5 The Equality and Human Rights Commission (the EHRC) has prepared and issued this code of practice (referred to as the ‘Code’) based on its powers under the Equality Act 2006. It is a statutory Code. This means it has been approved by the Secretary of State and formally laid before Parliament.
1.6 The Code does not impose legal obligations. Nor is it an authoritative statement of the law: only the courts and tribunals can provide such authority.
However, the Code can be used in evidence in legal proceedings brought under the Act. Courts and tribunals must consider any part of the Code that appears relevant to any questions arising in such proceedings.
1.7 If providers of services, those exercising public functions and associations follow the guidance in the Code, it may help them avoid an adverse decision by a court in such proceedings.
What The Trans?! 🏳️‍⚧️@whatthetrans.com · 11h ago

REMEMBER The guidance coming into effect today doesn't dictate what you're allowed to do as an individual. It for service providers and business owners. Do not cower in fear, do not reduce yourself, do not isolate, that is one of the intended effects.

Photo taken at a protest, he background is tall old buildings of a city centre, a lightskined hand is holding a sign with a trans flag painted on it that says "fuck your "respect and clarity""

Exactly this Trans people are now officially less than equal. The purpose of the EHRC's code is normalising a hierarchy of equality But their true goal is the eradication of trans people, especially women, from society A trans woman getting violent at a cis woman? That would be their wet dream

As the Equalities Minister she authorised the EHRC code Widely known in human rights and genocide prevention circles as a GENOCIDAL DOCUMENT that segregates and 'third spaces' trans people to facilitate their persecution This is considered unimportant for The Guardian, or potential Labour voters..

Lord Walney would have led the charge against the Suffragettes had he been alive in the 1910s Salivating at the chance to label Stonewall a terrorist organisation in the 1970s Jumping to label Extinction Rebellion terrorists in the 2010s Of course he wants to call Bash Back terrorists

Tomorrow, Lord Walney, who was responsible in part for the proscription of Palestine Action, will publish an article in The Times arguing that BASH BACK be proscribed as a terrorist organisation. We will not be intimidated. Neither should you. xoxo BASH BACK

I see England came in the top 4 of the planetary rankings of football teams this year It's fairer & better when they STV the rankings instead of first past the post'ing it And when it comes to football, or politics, the more math the fans have to do to see if they've won, the less violent they are

Amnesty International put out a major report documenting the influence of UK based anti trans gender critical organizations and their funding. Within hours, GC groups threatened defamation lawsuits and Amnesty was forced to pull it down. Proving the point they're anti rights. Anyways, here it is.

Every time this goes around I’m stunned that there are still people who’ve never seen it, this performance is to drag what the Mona Lisa is to paintings, but maybe you’ve never seen the Mona Lisa, so today is the day you shall behold it

RIP Bonnie Tyler. And RIP Tandi Iman Dupree. This remains the best stage entrance by a drag queen of all time, even some 25 years later, and the best use of Tyler’s “Holding Out for a Hero” ever. youtu.be/IHQA5vqn6rw?...

In a society that hates women - that underpays, abuses, harasses, refuses to defend, and generally acts like a rape culture - to chose to let free the woman you know you are inside... trans women are some of the most honest and strongest people on the planet

THIS DESERVES REPOSTING… This was posted online quite a while ago, but the message remains powerful…

Written by a cisgender woman and ally in response to a cisgender man's hateful
comment on a transgender woman's post. "Transgender women existing makes me proud to be a woman. Because it means that being a woman must be something very special if someone born with all the privileges and supposed advantages of being male is not only willing to give that up, but go through so much pain and anguish, emotionally and physically, to achieve what some of us are born
with and take for granted every day."

This is amazing; 40 women’s organizations standing in support of trans people’s human rights against this government’s targeting of trans people against the EHRC transphobic code. Trans people and cis women’s rights are not in opposition.

Makes me so F^$%&%& angry! These cruel, horribly misguided parents would rather torture their children (even to death?) than accept that being trans - experiences gender dissonance or dysphoria is not wrong or bad It's just another natural variation of the human condition Like being left handed
