To those who know me at my best; to those who know me at my worst; to those who can’t tell the difference ☺️ Christian. Retired, former NHS employee. Married, 3 children, 3 grandchildren. Live in Derbyshire. Labour Party Member.

Whilst the ups & downs of the weather/temps at this time of year mess with my brain, I’m rather enjoying this late burst of quite warm temperatures & still being able to wear shorts & t-shirt when we’re out walking 😍. I’m not quite ready to put my legs away for winter in jeans/trousers just yet 😁

I know the NHS is struggling but some of the admin errors they make are just so ridiculous &, quite frankly, inexcusable especially when we’ve taken time to ensure the contact info they have on record is correct & up-to-date. They confirm it’s all sorted & then use incorrect contact info 😤😤

"Reform-run Derbyshire County Council blacklisted a journalist after he exposed its £50,000 fence fiasco. Its deputy leader justified the move with a claim he later admitted was wrong. This is Reform’s answer to scrutiny. Attack the press." via Reform Watch

"Dear Diary, There were six by-elections in England and Scotland this week and Reform lost all of them. Two of them were seats we previously held. The problem with running councils is that people can see how useless we are."

As with many different bugs, a strain of Covid is now doing the rounds. It’s a virus; just another virus. If you’re feeling so unwell from any viral symptoms, stay at home if you can. Avoid mixing with anyone you know who is immunocompromised. And don’t needlessly book a GP appointment!

I take this from a different perspective. If funding is in any way contingent on other matters, it affects what the funding might or might not be used for. Any investment of this kind must be for the greater good, not the benefit of a single state. Let them go.

UAE warns Andy Burnham it may pull billions in investment for the UK's proposed Oxford-Cambridge tech hub—dubbed the UK's Silicon Valley—in retaliation over Manchester City's guilty verdict, per The Telegraph.

The Starmer achieved nothing brigade are out and about today, I make absolutely no apology for posting these again. This isn't just disrespectful to Starmer but to all the Labour MP's who made this happen in just 2 years, ignoring these achievements is a kick in the face to everyone involved.

UAE officials have warned the UK that a severe punishment for Man City could hurt future Emirati investment in Britain, Bloomberg reports. This is the perfect argument for keeping foreign money out of football.

Joined our eldest son at his local pub quiz, for the first time last night. We came joint 2nd, won a line prize (free drink voucher) & my husband (team captain) also won the Play Your Cards Right prize draw game (free drink voucher). Our Team name?…..What’s Our Name?

Manchester City cheated Premier League rules, the Commission found. Did it also cheat HMRC? We've examined the decision and leaked Mancini documents. We think City likely failed to pay £12m in tax. There should be a criminal investigation. Thread:

Personal post from me: anxiety, when it hits me, is just horrible. I don’t know what, specifically, is causing it this morning (since 4.30am) but I hate it. It’s much worse than when I was on medication (had to stop taking it for other reasons) & am seriously considering a discussion with GP.

I do not agree with the Death Penalty & thankfully, we don’t use it in the UK. She’s (deservedly) already served 30 years in prison & now survived 2 failed attempts to execute her. If she survives, let her live the rest of her life in prison but not on Death Row. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

Her lawyer says Pike is being "provided life-saving measures" after two syringes of pentobarbital.

Determined not to get caught up in the “buy Christmas stuff early” hype, I resisted the temptation to buy a (very nice) Christmas tree decoration & some (very nice) Christmas serviettes, today. Disciplined enough to say “I like, I want but I don’t need”. Willpower at its best 😂😂😂
