yeh tbh if AI is so great you should be proud of it, you should disclose it everywhere and put a bunch of stickers yourself that you used it for your project showing everyone how cool and cutting edge you are, no? like, it's the future right? you love it right??

Lol I'll never understand why these dorks hate the transparency of a label so much. Aren't they proud of it? They keep going on and on about how much they love it so I have to assume they aren't shy. (This is rhetorical, we all know they're desperately clinging to the masquerade of competence.)

3am mental connection: - fast travel in video games - creating things with AI - exclusively going outside for errands or to get somewhere else all of these reduce opportunities for serendipity, they prevent you from enjoying the now by recontextualizing your surroundings as a means to an end

right now there's no guarantee AI usage becomes embedded in indie games. We're a scene. We don't HAVE to be this. Individual choices couldn't matter more in this moment. To see that you can make a small, positive impact at mild inconvenience to yourself and say "nah" is to give up on a better world.

This means that the increased price of RAM and consumer electronics was a result of an artificial "supply chain crisis" created by Jensen Huang pushing NVIDIA's customers to take early delivery of GPUs. Jensen Huang is responsible for making life worse for everyone.

NVIDIA seems to be channel stuffing, forcing Amazon and other customers to take early delivery. The argument that these things are "scarce" when you don't even have anywhere to plug them into is nonsense...unless NVIDIA is saying you NEED to take them now, or else. GPUs are stacked in warehouses.

Now that Steam Next Fest has started I want to remind everybody to not give games with AI any attention, to help you with this you can download this neat extension that will make it A LOT easier to filter through the slop! github.com/seeeeew/aiwa...

A thing that I think is always worth remembering is that The Game Awards voting panel is comprised entirely of well over 100 press outlets worldwide and that its votes are an outcome of what it is - an averaging of the most mainstream opinions on games in every country and language

seeing people genuinely suggest that the game awards are rigged for gta 6 is so funny because i promise you if there’s one thing you don’t need to trick gamers into doing it’s celebrating the very expensive and highly marketed release as an artistic masterpiece. they will do that for free
