This idea has been around for years and he has built a single working tunnel that moves a small number of people from casinos to a convention center. The idea can't scale, and locals dislike it. Musk cannot give the product away for free. How the fuck do people see a $23 billion value?

Earlier this year, Boring Co. ran a contest, the Tunnel Vision Challenge, promising winners a “free” one-mile tunnel. The Baltimore Ravens, who had entered the challenge and won, turned down Musk’s offer after initial meetings with the company.

Some communities are hesitant to work with Musk’s company due to its safety and environmental track record. In Las Vegas, Boring Co. racked up hundreds of environmental violations, ProPublica reported, with additional workplace safety and environmental violations in its home state of Texas.

The UAE led a $3B investment into The Boring Company, Elon Musk's tunneling venture. Boring Co. has been convincing some US states or cities to privatize rather than develop fully public transit in their quest to keep traffic flowing to popular destinations... www.cnbc.com/2026/09/10/e...

Get in, folks: a new Russian disinfo campaign is targeting the midterms, specifically Democrats, in what seems to be the first attempt by the Kremlin-backed op to meddle in this year’s U.S. elections. They're faking celebrity videos attacking Dems and are...very stupid. www.ms.now/news/russia-...

A Russian disinformation campaign is doctoring celebrity videos to meddle in the midterms

The Kremlin-backed operation, known as Matryoshka, has Hollywood actors telling voters to disavow the Democratic Party and vote Republican.

The network seems to be targeting candidates in midterm races, too. @antibot4navalny.bsky.social flagged a new batch of falsely CNN-branded videos targeting specific Democrats, including Chris Pappas, James Talarico, Jon Ossoff, Mary Peltola, Roy Cooper & Sherrod Brown. bsky.app/profile/anti...

Continuing to focus on the US midterms, today's Matryoshka 🇷🇺 bot network is targeting specific Dem candidates with fake videos impersonating @cnn.com, including: 🔵 Chris Pappas (NH) 🔵 James Talarico (TX) 🔵 Jon Ossoff (GA) 🔵 Mary Peltola (AK) 🔵 Roy Cooper (NC) 🔵 Sherrod Browm (OH)

Just did a quick look around and I don't see very many headlines about the President of the US making people pledge allegiance to him personally while telling everyone to commit election fraud and "cheat like hell" to support his party. Seems like it should be a story?

Trump: "Please right your right hand. I pledge to the greatest president in the history of the United States. That loves us so much he can't even breath. That I will go out with my family, my friends, I'll do it any way - I don't care if I'm registered or not, I'm going to try to cheat like hell..."

China's net greenhouse gas emissions *fell* this past quarter. Why? Because rapidly expanding electric vehicle use is putting a serious dent in oil demand. We could do that too. But we're not. We have the slowest EV update in the developed world, thanks to Trump.

Analysis: China’s CO2 emissions fall in Q2 2026 due to plummeting oil use - Carbon Brief

China’s carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions fell by 1% in the second quarter of 2026, as oil consumption plummeted amid the strait of Hormuz crisis.

And if the media needs a refresher on Musk’s extremism: -endorsed a post saying Jews push hatred of white people -did a fascist salute, then made Nazi puns about it on X -said shooting migrants is “based” -told AfD rally there’s “too much focus on past guilt” in Germany -encouraged UK civil war

Some congressional Democrats (or their staffers, I guess) follow me on here, so let me speak directly to them: The media isn't going to do this on their own. But if you make it an issue, they might just be shamed into forcing your GOP opponents into discussing the fat racist elephant in the room.

Evidence is already accruing that spending time on Twitter pulls ppl to the right, bc the algorithm feeds you horrible stuff. And again: academics are likely more vulnerable, bc they convince themselves they are less.

A few weeks of X’s algorithm can make you more right-wing – and it doesn’t wear off quickly

Elon Musk’s social media platform is boosting conservative content – and it’s having long-lasting effects on how users see the world.

With pre-season NFL on, it’s time to go back to our glorious sports viewing reality. Even with ESPN, Spectrum AND NFL subscriptions, I STILL can’t f*cking watch a game because I’m not at home. What’re we doing here?

So Lakers were sold by owner who had literally just bought the team. WTF would he sell? Turns out he was under investigation by the DOJ and SEC. So he sells to trump’s son-in-law Kushner. How long before those investigations evaporate? It’s always about the corruption.
