In Japan it is currently September 27th, marking the 30th anniversary of the Sakura Wars franchise. To celebrate, here's footage of Sakura Wars winning the very first Japan Game Awards, beating out other major releases from 1996 such as Mario 64, Pokemon, Nights into Dreams, and Resident Evil.

Very upset about the Xbox layoffs in general but folding Halo and Rare into Activision is an awful call. Obsidian under Bethesda is especially frustrating. I don't believe there wasn't a path for Ninja Theory either. Their facial scanning alone could at least keep them going as a support studio.
