I didn't want to ramble on the sketch post but I read the news Sunday and felt physically sick. We just want to live, we just want to be ourselves and love each other. My wife had slurs spat at her at work today. It's just... a lot. We have to take care of each other.

The moorland several miles away is on fire, and the air is thick with smoke here and in the towns all around. Everything looks foggy, it's a strange feeling. I hope the fire is out soon.

Two similar-looking spiral galaxies take up most of the frame. They both have bright, yellow-white central cores and well-defined spiral arms dotted with blue star clusters and dark dust lanes. NGC 5427 is a nearly face-on spiral galaxy at top. NGC 5426 is a more oblique galaxy at bottom. The two spiral arms from NGC 5426 appear to reach upward and act as a bridge that connects with NGC 5427. The black background of space is dotted with stars and small background galaxies.

Alternate version of my space Disability Pride Month piece with the colours labelled! I wasn't sure where to put charcoal, but it represents the mourning and rage for those lost to ableist violence. Sorry it's not the easiest to read, I wanted to use a font but not fully figured that out yet!
