In a contribution to @lgstudies.bsky.social, @keonhison.bsky.social, @sarahwagner.bsky.social and I find that the nr of full day care spots for children in German cities is lower in case of economic hardship. This effect gets stronger if the mayor belongs to a left-wing party shorturl.at/p8YUK 1/3
