Finished reading Lords of the Realm—published in 1994—and I kept getting thrown every time George Bush was mentioned as simply that guy who owns the Rangers.

Ludwig is basically "what if Monk were British" and you know what? It's absolute perfection. Highly recommended! Can't wait for season 2 to come out. (Also, Whitaker from The Pitt is in it speaking with his real accent.)

At 100, there's no question that Mel Brooks is foundational. His films and comedy have quite literally shaped pop culture. Just as important, I feel, was his work producing films for artists like Lynch and Cronenberg. Championing those with visions different than his own to the benefit of us all.
