Hey you, with the pretty face -- welcome to the human race. Reporter/editor, MLB.com. I like dogs. I’ve rewatched Frasier in its entirety way too many times. She/her

Couldn’t bring myself to post anything about Wags yesterday. I just couldn’t accept that he’d passed. We’re all devastated. Monte Poole beautifully captured our effervescent, always upbeat friend who wore gratitude on his sleeve for every day he lived. www.nbcsportsbayarea.com/news/remembe...

The life of the party goes home: Remembering our longtime friend, colleague Michael Wagaman

NBC Sports Bay Area and California's own Michael Wagaman, who passed away Friday evening, was a friend to all.

There is a player on the LA Queens, Brittany Apgar, who has a limb difference and traveled back to Illinois from receiving her first ever batting prosthetic *today* and is 3-for-3 in her first game playing with one. Incredibly cool.

Going back and forth between watching Widow's Bay and King of the Hill, which means all Stephen Root, all the time, baby. The Rootaissance is here and we're lucky to be living through it!

It is Rachel Robinson’s 104th birthday. She is an accomplished nurse, decorated professor & is probably most recognizable as the wife of Jackie Robinson. They married before he integrated baseball. She’s a civil rights hero who was there the whole way as a stalwart in global resistance to oppression

Rachel Robinson at 103 sits in a fusion and white pants Jackie & Rachel in a black & white photo being married Jackie, Rachel & a man I don’t recognize. Jackie has his Brooklyn Dodgers uni on & Rachel & the other man are well-dressed. They all pose around an automobile.

Ludwig is basically "what if Monk were British" and you know what? It's absolute perfection. Highly recommended! Can't wait for season 2 to come out. (Also, Whitaker from The Pitt is in it speaking with his real accent.)

Found out that zinc deficiency is common in huskies, which could explain some of the skin/fur loss issues Boomer’s been having. I’m sharing this information entirely because I want to post this meme.

A panel from a Simpsons black-and-white film strip with a guy smoking a pipe and another guy, whose face is covered by a white husky mix’s head, with the caption “COME BACK, ZINC. COME BACK!”

Boomhauer has recently decided that it’s his choice when I have to get up, and this is how he asks me to do so. Note that this is after he’s had breakfast and been outside, so it’s literally just him being annoyed I’m not awake yet. Buddy, I work nights, let me live 😭

I've been a big believer in equipping pets w/ tracking technology ever since our foster dog got loose last year.* But I just witnessed a tracking collar in action, and now I'm even more sure all pets need it. *We found her safe and sound 3 days later. Woulda been sooner if she'd had the collar! 1/3

At 100, there's no question that Mel Brooks is foundational. His films and comedy have quite literally shaped pop culture. Just as important, I feel, was his work producing films for artists like Lynch and Cronenberg. Championing those with visions different than his own to the benefit of us all.

Mel Brooks with David Lynch on the set of The Elephant ManMel Brooks and David Cronenberg on the set of THE FLY.

the existence of stuff like Basketball Reference and Wikipedia and IMDB makes remembering regular people so frustrating. I should be able to instantly look up lifetime stats for everyone from elementary school
