this man should get combat pay bc he was FIGHTING here
Temporary Bat

Climate, international shitshow, human & environmental rights & whatever interests me. Irish, she/her. Mostly harmless but inclined to bite or at least relentlessly mock bigots. Irrational fear of harmonicas. Not actually a bat.
9/11 as demonstrated by interpretative dance.
Oh my god I think I found the video.
Today I learned that baby cranes are called "colts" because their legs are so long and they can run around like idiots shortly after hatching. This is delightful, I enjoy knowing this.
There's a whole narrative arc going on here. 😆
The name of this playlist is hilarious 😂😂😂 the songs are 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Ah that should be fine. Bart's a minor so that can't be talked about.
They're the Homers who when faced with the decision to vote for Sideshow Bob are like: "Hmm. I like his tax policy, but I'm not so sure about his 'Bart killing' policy."

Google pauses AI satellite images, after fears of deepfakes in the sky
Journalists, human rights advocates and open source analysts recoiled in horror at the initial decision: "The opportunities for abuse and disinfo are literally boundless," said one.

I‘m going to deeply regret this but “Bluesky is hosted in a data center so how can you be opposed to data centers?“ or “You sent an email opposing data centers through a data center” is not nearly the knockout blow that the people deploying it think it is.
Women's Rights Network/Sex Matters took Feile to court to have their event reinstated. It was not reinstated. The two statements released after an agreement was reached give two very different impressions of what happened today in Belfast's High Court.
You may have heard Gazan students, who have all been accepted onto fully funded scholarships for third-level courses, have had their visa applications turned down. As a nation we proclaim to be supportive of Palestine and want to help them however we can. Allowing students to complete degrees 1/2
"What Féile an Phobail row has shown is that women’s rights are at risk — just not from a tiny trans minority" great piece from Allison Morris in the Belfast Telegraph. Please support Allison as she will no doubt be targeted now. Archive link below. archive.ph/oQ2Cs
That article was...something. A lot of something.
Pray for me, friends; I'm going to try to rewrite a filler article for the novel in the style of this infamous op-ed: www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle... #AmWriting #WriteSky #WritersOfBlueSky #WritingResearch
I used to find the “Star Trek: The Next Generation” episode “Darmok” a bit hard to believe (the one where an alien race speaks in metaphors). However, that was before a large part of my communication revolved around TV and movie references. Sideshow Bob, surrounded by rakes.
At this point I'm just coming back to this thread every so often to see how many more Americans refusing to read "Britain" or ".co.uk" it's picked up. Currently it's about 85% of respondants, including one that may want to invade. And a very angry Canadian that also thinks it's about the US.
"Choices have been made politically for many years to change the way we access food, and we import far more than we export, making us highly vulnerable to infrastructure shock"
No, you may not shoot the British food shortages. It will not help and you have to finish your Iran before having a UK.
It’s time for America to fight back with guns, or stand down and watch it burn 🇺🇸⚖️🔥?
I dunno where people get the energy for takes like "people who make costumes for war movies/series must be nazis because who else would be able to make a nazi costume".
That kid's going to be an absolute menace [laudatory] on the football field in about 15 years if he keeps it up. 😆
Little man smaller player out there and still taking care of business
Muppet Odyssey. Only they would have the courage. Except all of them and the director would get beaten up by Miss Piggy if a duck muppet was cast, so they probably wouldn't do it either.
My complaints are limited to the lack of her being depicted as a gorgeous half-duck.
Tbf, I can think of a few, but they are pretty much all from 90s Irish tv advertising. I can't think of many online ads that didn't at the least make me want to never buy that product and by the fifth or so repeat, make me want to nuke the culpable marketing department from orbit.
I can not think of an ad where I thought to myself, "Wow. That ad brought value to my life."
A Chinese shoe manufacturer made this video to show how indestructible their shoes are and y'all I'm much too gay for this 🥵
Of all the things that sound exceptionally unlikely, this seems pretty high up the list.
“The People of Aberdeen, in Scotland, are dancing in the streets because the new Prime Minister, Andy Burnham, has stated that he will be opening up, all the way, the invaluable North Sea Oil!”
And it really particularly frustrating to see any bad act of a full-grown man blamed on his mother. Not even his parents, nope, it must be the mother. Of all the RW media asshats, she's the only parent to challenge her brat's doings, yet she gets blamed. 🤦🏻♀️
She's been very open about NOT being a "proud mom" of what he's doing. When she went to a no kings rally, he joked he must have been adopted 😐. I believe he was also not invited to Thanksgiving. One of my biggest fears is my kids ending up like this asshole regardless of how I'm raising them 😫
A new classic of the "I DON'T KNOW WHO YOU ARE OR WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT BUT I'M GOING TO LOSE MY SHIT" genre. Also, the guy's Indian, talking about an English/French football match. I think the American's just confused and possibly rabid.
Pete Hegseth: "We need our warriors to embrace the Spartan mindset" U.S. Military: *suffers crushing defeat to the Persians*
