Exciting to see this story out — showing that children with MIS-C have high levels of TGFβ, which weakens T cells and reactivates EBV. Blocking TGFβ reversed this effect, making this a potential treatment option! Proud to have contributed our part!

TGFβ links EBV to multisystem inflammatory syndrome in children - Nature

Multisystem inflammatory syndrome following SARS-CoV-2 infection results from increased serum levels of TGFβ, which impairs the reactivation of virus-specific T cells.

Visited two events with a focus that was new to me - on tech- and methodology. Helpful, technical input and discussions that are often lacking in broader events! ⛰️📊 German Mass Cytometry User Forum - Jena, Germany 1️⃣0️⃣❎️ Single Cell & Spatial Discovery Symposium by 10X Genomics - Munich, Germany
