I don’t think Brandon has been especially good at the job. I don’t think he’s been catastrophic either. He’s been utterly meh and in a world where the avatar of Chicago and the city we actually live in and love exist side-by-side, it creates an ink blot test for a bunch of take-havers.

Paul Vallas would have gleefully bent the knee to Trump in early 2021, betrayed Chicagoans by welcoming ICE with open arms, then claimed that his tough-on-crime policies were responsible for the dramatic drop in crime we’ve seen the past couple of years.

I think Brandon Johnson has done a bad job and I reject the stabdard democrat framework where you run against a guy instead of having real ideas. And I’m still stoked every day that Paul Vallas lost

I feel like I am living through a pretty clear example cultural-wide pro republican bias because under Biden everyone in my daily life was bitching about gas prices and now that we are hitting the highest prices ever nobody around me is talking about it lol

I love when AI guys are like "once we figure out how to do this thing that's impossible and nobody can figure out, robots will take your job and fucking kill you". Imagine any other business advertising itself this way. Like if McDonald's said it could go out of control and end civilization!

If you don't think turning the calculator upside down so it says BOOBS is seeing the face of God, you're antisocial

I wish I could properly convey to people how mad I get when people in progressive media come out saying the people who voted for the nazi's aren't actually racist they are just economically insecure lol

10 years ago people used to argue in bad faith that climate change calamity wasn't worth transforming our economy for because China and India would just add way more carbon in the future and now both nations are lapping us on the green transition lol

Rail service to O’Hare airport began 42 years ago today. Take a look at what riders had to say about the Blue Line extension back in 1984. ⏪
