I finished The Vampire Lestat. I’m in therapy for CPTSD & a very long & interesting list of mental disorders. I was raised by a narcissist who saw me as an extension of himself. I’m obsessed w/my failure. Every day of my life is like that fucking long table scene. Every fucking day.
The people who say “I’VE DONE MY OWN RESEARCH” are the people who are the least qualified to do their own research. They can’t differentiate reliable from unreliable sources, never took statistics, don’t understand sample size or if a study is replicable, & don’t know what peer review is.

Omg this means Lestat and Louis have terrible, dark, contemporary knowledge that they were never meant to have. Stuff like Minions, The Swan reality tv show, the time Ashlee Simpson lip synced on SNL, the Letter from Jersey Shore, Ignition by R. Kelly.

Finished the penultimate episode of The Vampire Lestat while I’m waiting to go to the bus stop. Holy shit, out of I think 7 books & 3 tv seasons, that might be the most honest conversation Lestat & Louis ever had.
I don’t think I spent enough money on myself for my birthday, I’m going to buy myself more presents.
You know that Golden Girls episode when Dorothy & Blanche bought the same dress & then fight over who gets to wear it? Dorothy looked better & should have earned the right to the dress.
I haven’t finished The Vampire Lestat yet but I’m really actually enjoying the exploration of Lestat’s trauma & how it leads to his actions. I’ve loved the books since I was 11, but I’d never considered the idea of consent & becoming a vampire or that Lestat was kidnapped by a serial killer.
Walking around my mom’s house. I have my rain bonnet on because I’m going to have a cigarette outside & it’s raining. I realize I’m turning into Little Edie.

I just screamed so loudly because I was accidentally stung by a scorpion in Animal Crossing. Then I had to explain to my mom why I screamed.
I haven’t been talking about vacation a lot b/c I was bummed that I wasn’t going away. My 3 month IOP stay drained my finances so I went to my mom’s house. I’m so grateful I went here now. I don’t think I could have gotten medical treatment if I went to where I usually go.
Finished Tim Curry’s memoir & I’m back to horror with Sisters of the Lost Nation by Nick Medina. I quite enjoyed Indian Burial Ground so I’m excited to try this.

Lawns. I would destroy every lawn I see & replace them with native plants. Waste of water & waste of labor. Same goes for golf courses.

Sometimes I don’t appreciate how good I have it in the northeast. If I need to go to CityMD I get seen within 10 minutes of my appointment, CVS is down the street, & I have a prescription in an hour. It’s taken me 3 hours to deal with a sore throat in rural PA.
