Everyone accepts the risk of car accidents as Normal and Inevitable. Everyone accepts the risk of workers dying in manufacturing or mining accidents as Normal and Inevitable. But dying of radiation? Dying from being stabbed on a train? Those are scary, precisely because so few die like that!
The debate about the safety of nuclear power is cut from the same cloth as the debate about the safety of public transit: Both kill far less people than the alternative, but they kill people in ways we, as a society, have yet to deem Normal and Inevitable.

I know there are a lot of takes going around re "it's not my job to educate you" somehow being how we ended up here, but I think it's a bit disingenuous to pretend a majority of ppl were asking in good faith before being dismissed. Also a sly way to act like leftist weren't loud enough for decades
Asian action genres like tokusatsu, kaiju, martial arts are seen as "cheap" "low budget" genres (they are)! But even a multibillion company falters at "doing it themselves" because what enables these productions isn't a quantifiable resource you can put on an Excel spreadsheet, but "skill" & "craft"

I am thrilled to be casting at Worlds again and equally excited to share the desk with Chip! Pokémon Worlds started out with a few hundred people in a hotel ballroom back in 2004. It's amazing to see it grow into a full-blown stadium event. Worlds is becoming what it felt like to me as a teenager.
