Analysts estimate that 70%+ of Microsoft, Google and Amazon's present and future AI revenues are from Anthropic and OpenAI's compute spend and model sales. Outside of two unsustainable AI labs, demand barely exists, and they've massively overbuilt capacity. www.wheresyoured.at/the-ai-deman...

Bordeaux, France, has now recorded more days above 40°C in 2026 alone than during the entire 105-year period from 1920 (when observations began) to 2025. This is deeply shocking.

Another conference, From the Front, brought me to Bologna back in 2012. What a beautiful city! It's also a perfect base for day trips to Modena (balsamic vinegar), Maranello (Ferrari), Ravenna (stunning mosaics), and Florence. So if @nodejs.org, JS, and 🇮🇹🍝 sound like your kind of combo, go for it! 👇🏼

spotted on Reddit: this menu card from a Lufthansa flight explaining the bibimbap being served the Korean text apparently translates to: "You know how to eat bibimbap, right? You are experts. So, please understand that we need more space for English and German instructions."

menu card from a Lufthansa flight with a German section, English section, and Korean section. the English section reads "Bibimbap means 'mixed rice'. Besides rice, tofu or meat, and a hot chili paste, it can contain a variety of different types of vegetables, meaning that countless variations are possible. You mix the ingredients together yourself to create a meal."

Warum fällt es mir schwer, hier an Zufall zu glauben? Und selbst wenn es einer sein sollte: das ist ein Versagen vermeintlich „neutraler“ KI. Gerade im Vergleich zu Claude mit viel ausgewogeneren Werten.

Back home after a fantastic few days of @cssday.nl and @css.cafe. I once again forgot to take selfies with people. There are probably some images flying around. I'm such an idiot. 😂 But wow, I had fun. I learned, I socialized and I have Inspiration for months to come. First a bit of sleep tho 😅
