I think people can be and generally are pleasant and polite (and some even kind/generous) with the small group of humans they personally know or even regularly see around town. And simultaneously can and do make decisions with monstrous consequences for everyone outside that circle.

Michael Kretschmer (CDU) erweist sich einmal mehr als „nützlicher Idiot“ für den Faschismus. Da erklärt er, dass wer über die Brandmauer rede, die Zeichen der Zeit nicht erkannt habe. Er, dessen CDU in Sachsen schon längst mit der A*D paktiert und für „die Zeichen der Zeit“ verantwortlich ist.
