Yesterday, I went to a 15 minutes portraits session again after months! It’s hard to start again, but it’s always fun! So even if these may not be my best results, there are some I still like and I spent a very nice afternoon doing art ✨✌️ The 2nd image, I like that one! Such an interesting face!

Harmony, a godlike figure, and Waxillium Ladrian, lawman senator, from Brandon Sanderson's Mistborn books. Harmony, painted in soft pastel warm tones, is standing behind Wax, hands held up in an open gesture, clad in warm-toned robes that form the Terris V patterns on the front. He wears multiple earrings and rings (his metalminds), his expression serene, his bald head slightly bowed.

Wax, painted in bolder darks, stands before him and between his hands, his revolver (Vindication) raised beside his head as he looks over his other shoulder in a ready pose. He is wearing his dark Mistcoat, the tassels flying outward in an invisible wind.

I made a very simple concertina sketchbook, brought it to a rock festival (Rock Werchter) and used it to do some small sketches of the bands I saw! (From photos, mine or official, in between sets and a fair bit at home!) Here are the two sides of the sketchbook 😁❤️ this was very fun!

So, first two weeks of fulltime freelance! I took it very slowly as mentioned and even went back to Italy to visit my family this week, but I think it went well! I painted a character art for a commission with one of my fave ADs and she was happy with the result! *I* am also happy with the result!

I ended up experimenting a lot with this one, pouring layers of ink washes over the watercolor and building up with pastels. I'm trying to get a look that is soft and textured but still has clear strong details in places. I haven't gotten it down yet quite the way I want, but this is a step closer!

"The great hunt". Illustration piece I did for Paul Scott Canavan's mentorship. It represents an haunt scene, the hunter is mounting a big white tiger with piercing white eyes -sign that she's blind- which is roaring as she's sprinting through the action. The hunter has heavy clothing on, inspired by the Mongolian and Slavic clothing. He has long black hair moved by the wind, and he's holding a sword in his hand, ready to defend his wood. The environment is a snowy wood, old trees and branches all around the scene, as the white snow covers them. The sun is setting, and the overall atmosphere looks pinkish, lightened by the lights of the time of the day.
