3/ It’s just there. It doesn’t require maintenance any more than Long Island sound does. Maybe I’m not understanding these numbers. But again these aren’t token fees or a point of principle. The windfall almost beggars belief.

Donald Trump is racing to stop the BBC from getting his financial records. After the network demanded access to his records to determine whether he actually suffered the billions in damages he claims, Trump’s lawyers are now trying to block that evidence from being turned over.

If i were a single issue voter, it would be a tie between federally protected abortion rights and stopping the scourge of data centers

@jamestalarico.bsky.social for Texas US Senate gets it - under his opponent Ken Paxton and Gov. Abbott, data centers are running amok in TX. Talarico has a sensible plan to regulate data centers. Texas, he is the right choice for your next senator, not the corrupt, 15 home owning Paxton.

THE REFORMERS

TALARICO'S HOLD DATA CENTERS ACCOUNTABLE PLAN

*END BIG TECH TAX GIVEAWAYS BY REPEALING THE STATE'S DATA CENTER SALES TAX EXEMPTION
*MAKE DATA CENTERS PAY FOR THEIR OWN INFRASTRUCTURE INSTEAD OF SHIFTING GRID COSTS TO TEXAS FAMILIES
*PROTECT THE ELECTRIC GRID WITH STRONGRT STANDARDS FOR LARGE ENERGY USERS
*REQUIRE WATER CONSERVATION INCLUDING CLOSED LOOP WATER RECYCLING SYSTEMS
*GIVE LOCAL COMMUNITIES A VOTE ON WHETHER LARGE DATA CENTERS CAN BE BUILT
*INCREASE TRANSPARENCY BY PUBLICLY DISCLOSING TAX INCENTIVES AND SUBSIDIES

It amazes me how release of the 2 y.o. Moreno girl’s photo/s and identifying info is characterized by an attorney as “an unfortunate mistake”. Just write it off. Sounds like the Epstein file debacle. With men like that in charge…

I've been wondering abt this for a while. Originally a court ratified this deal. That's fairly binding as a settlement. But I think that court pulled the plug on that (perhaps I misunderstood that contingent ruling). So I don't know why this would be binding on a future admin at all.

Trump’s justice department can grant him immunity from audits but I see no reasons why a subsequent administration can’t say: that was patently illegal, toss it out, and crawl all the way up his ass.

The fact that the Blanche memo was announced yesterday jointly by Cornyn and Blanche in an X post suggests strongly that Cornyn is placated and Blanche is back on track. That's so notwithstanding the core of the tax amnesty remains, and as a bogus windfall to Trump in return for ....zero.

Tulane's Muira McCammon documented how Google turned off reviews for 90+ ICE detention facilities, erasing accounts of conditions inside. Google says disabling ICE facility reviews was "unrelated to a government request." But McCammon argues the effect is the same: dissent rendered invisible.

As Google Scrubs ICE Detention Reviews, Platform Power Serves State Interests

Google’s content moderation choices threaten to render accounts of treatment inside federal detention centers invisible, writes Muira McCammon.

The tricky part for a future Dem Admin is going to be finding a way to divest the US govt from these companies without tanking their stock price & hurting them over the long term. What Trump is doing is a fundamental tenet of communism while he distracts by claiming Dems are.

BREAKING: Todd Blanche has released what he calls a rescission of the slush fund (left). The last lawsuit he mentions is mine (Gill v DOJ). This doesn't change the fact that the "settlement" setting up the fund is still in effect. On the right, Blanche is LEAVING IN PLACE Trump's tax immunity.
