Logged into LinkedIn to this amazing message. The audience for ScrobbleRadio is never going to be huge, but those that get what it's about, they thoroughly understand the hole it fills since they're probably like me, long suffering radio listeners who can finally scrobble their favourite stations.

We can now see the effects of the changes lastfm made. After all the talk of taking their ball and going home, 19% left the platform, while accounting for ~60% of the API abuse. There’s still many users scrobbling impossible amounts of tracks, but they did get many of the biggest offenders to leave.
This move by Spotify has me wondering if all the platforms are cracking down on the API abusers. Lastfm just moved first and now the other platforms are following suit tightening things up.

Think I’ve finally cleaned up the Scrobblers feed from all the lastfm drama last week. Scrobble abusers be gone!

this one's a good read if you're an Apple Music user (like me), more so if you scrobble (like me). i started writing something similar back in November, but it was just a 1000 word rant about metadata and the music industry more generally, whereas this actually contains, like, useful information!
