Does branch excision bias our #photosynthesis data? New paper led by #MarcellaCross shows excision increases water potential but reduces photosynthesis in most species, with trait-dependent effects, so excised branches underestimate intact rates. www.researchgate.net/publication/... #MichaletzLab
