@sneuroendo.bsky.social @semaineducerveau.bsky.social @socneuro.bsky.social
Save the date for our upcoming young investigator webinar on Monday 16th at 2pm 🤩

Congrats to the newly recruited Neuroendocrinologists 🎉🎊🥂! We are confident that the future of SNE will be bright with you on board!!!
Happy New Year! ✨ As we step into 2026, we’re grateful for what 2025 brought. But most importantly, we are excited for what’s ahead 🤩!
I was delighted to co-organize the 2025 SF-DOHaD meeting in Lille, which was a great success with over 200 participants! The event featured high-quality, insightful scientific sessions and stimulating discussions, covering various aspects of the developmental origins of health and diseases
#SNEImpact2024 🤩 A breakthrough by J. Castel et al, (Mol Psychiatry) shows that the enzyme NAPE‑PLD in the reward region Ventral Tegmental Area regulates dopamine release, food-behaviours and energy homeostasis. A fascinating link between lipid signaling, reward circuits & metabolic regulation 🔬💡
📢 Because the ICN Conference will take place in 2026, we will not hold our regular annual meeting next year. Instead, join us for the Thematic Days in Paris on September 24 & 25, 2026 🤩! 🗓️ Mark your calendars! More details coming soon!!!
Very cool study, @sebastienbouret.bsky.social 🤩
Oxytocin isn’t just the “love hormone”: it helps wire the brain’s metabolic circuits! 🧠 In our new @plosbiology.org study, we show that OT neurons guide the postnatal development of POMC and AgRP pathways that control energy balance
The hypothalamic #melanocortin circuit is crucial for regulating energy balance, but how does it arise? @sebastienbouret.bsky.social &co show in mice that early postnatal activity & vesicle release from #oxytocin neurons are critical for proper circuit development @plosbiology.org 🧪 plos.io/49ifiKW

Oxytocin neurons drive melanocortin circuit maturation via vesicle release during a neonatal critical period
The melanocortin circuit of the hypothalamus is crucial for regulating energy balance, but the development of this circuit is incompletely understood. This study in mice shows that activity and vesicl...
