Sadly, the entire audio team at ZA/UM is being made redundant as part of the layoffs. If you're looking (or expect to be looking) for Sound Designers or Tech Sound Designers, please don't hesitate in reaching out to @eliforster.bsky.social, @missgameaudio.bsky.social and @soundbear.bsky.social

If a team makes a game that gets great reviews and doesn't sell, that's a biz failing but the silver lining is you caught lighting in a bottle -- protect that team! It's worth its weight in gold. If you jettison the team but keep the biz people, I don't know what to tell you

this is not directed at anyone in particular, as i have seen this sentiment shared relatively often since before i become a part of the games industry, but i don't get people who have Made It in a particular field who then tell younger generations "don't" when they dream of doing the same

hard to think of another big studio whose workers have been as consistently fucked over as bungie. absolutely criminal treatment of some of the most talented developers in the industry.
