This comes after Cornyn and Tillis said they will vote to confirm him. Murkowski has not said how she would vote to confirm him. Same for Bill Cassidy.

The precise scope of the strikes, & potential targets the US may go after, were not clear. Both officials cautioned the strikes could be called off.-CNN
this has been one of the main themes of trump 2.0 - there have definitely been stabs at consolidating an authoritarian dictatorship, but it has ultimately taken second fiddle to "no we have to drop everything and focus on what he just posted about"
