As usual for a Sunday, I'll be posting about #Titansfall #DnD in this thread the rest of the night. What's going to happen? Chaos, most likely, considering the past history of this group. Other than that, nobody ever knows what ridiculousness we'll end up falling into.
There's nothing like noticing that someone has drained your checking account with a bunch of Apple-related payments of varying amounts, to the point where you're unexpectedly in the hole. 🙃 Needless to say, I will be getting a new debit card from my bank.

Being anti-AI isn't enough. You should be pro-art, pro-artist, pro-writer, pro-worker. Don't expend all your energy tearing people down. Spend it lifting people up instead. Make their voices so loud, their art so visible, it drowns out the slop.
There are a lot of people who were capable of being open-minded when Arabs and Muslims were simply the *subject* of US policy but whose response to those communities having an active role in American politics on par with other ethnic and faith groups has been to totally lose their shit.

Don't let the Ai discourse discourage you aspiring writers out there. Art is valued by its rarity, and the rarest thing in the world is the talent of a single individual. What can be mass produced for cheap has little value. You are an original. A one of a kind. A bespoke wonder. Never forget that.

Dawson@delilahsdawson.bsky.social · 2w agoI hate how what I need to do is write books, and yet I keep thinking, "Maybe if I wore increasingly weird glasses and sat in front of my taxidermy with a bubble pipe and did unhinged houseplant reviews I could go viral and sell some books." Doing the work doesn't feel like enough, some days.
I am going to take every opportunity I can to refer to AI data centres as "dark Satanic mills".

I was in fact in a farmer meeting at that very moment! So I live-texted him the meeting. They were complaining that they want indentured workers that they don't have to pay or feed.
