The AMA's House of Delegates has adopted an emergency resolution opposing RFK Jr.'s move to gut the federal vaccine advisory council. The nation's top doctors association will seek a U.S. Senate investigation of his action, as well as alternate vaccine advice from elsewhere to invest in.

I had the great privilege of serving in the EIS Class of 2015, responding to dozens of disease outbreaks and novel health threats. The program is a crowned jewel of U.S. public health and a model for other countries. Cutting this program does not, in any way, make our country healthier.

One thing Democratic leadership could do right now is to name an alternate HHS secretary--someone to provide ongoing public updates and health information. And do it for other departments too. Start showing voters what a Democratic government would look like--press conferences, speeches, all of it.

Most Americans still have no idea about how F'd this country is about to get. I think if they knew it would be too overwhelming to process so they prefer maintaining the delusion, "It won't be that bad." It'll be very bad, folks. Hold on to your butts.

Dem leaders need to start holding national security press conferences explaining to Americans how Elon and Trump are dismantling agencies and seeking sensitive information on federal workers and all Americans. What Elon and co are doing will endanger everything from flying to attacks in U.S.
