i really think gamers need to stop expecting perfection from indie projects and start just accepting them for what they are. i'm so tired of games being viewed as products. it makes everyone so dishonest when they engage with them.

Reality check for yall wanting someone to be blamed/fired: I've volunteered behind the scenes, and the biggest strength I've come to appreciate in the GDQ communities is an environment that treats mistakes as human rather than shaming those who make them. It's why we get to enjoy the events we do.
I'm just going to say the unpopular thing: Cheering for somebody to get fired because a mistake was made (and summarily corrected) is ghoulish. Clearly there was an oversight and people don't have to demand blood for every error. Some of you should reevaluate your morals.

Some of the people in this thread are poster children for performative outrage. As soon as management was advised of the situation, the stream ended and they came on and made an apology. People asking for the names of who made the decision and/or more consequences are just performing online.

From someone who has a Management degree: Contracts between parties will almost always contain a multitude of variables and deliverables. And those exact same contracts will also contain penalties or risk of litigation if broken. So yes, certain actions may look like complicity. It isn't always.
Hey, a good way to celebrate Lindsey Graham kicking the bucket is to contact your senators about KOSA and the KIDS Act. Graham was a big proponent of these kinds of laws, as well as of gutting section 230.
