Net migration to the UK has fallen by nearly 50%. This has not made and will not make a single bit of positive difference to people’s lives. Because the problem was never immigration - it was 40 years of Thatcherism. [1/3]

Happy birthday to us! Our founders – Octavia Hill, Robert Hunter and Hardwicke Rawnsley – believed that nature, beauty and history were for everyone. On this day in 1895, they set up the National Trust and we're proud to continue their work today. Thank you to all those who support what we do.

View across a Welsh bay from a gorse covered patch of hill. There is a glowing low light across the landscape with cool blue sky across the water. It evokes a feeling of peacefulness and calm.
