Habe meine Doktorarbeit von 2014 durch einen KI Detector geschickt. Die Arbeit ist demnach zu 71 Prozent von einer KI verfasst, aber das Programm fragt mich freundlicherweise, ob ich die Arbeit von ihm „humanisieren“ lassen will. Natürlich kostenpflichtig.

You get what you measure: Measuring commits encourages people to do unnecessary work. Commits don't improve quality or get the product out the door faster. When there are too many PRs, people stop reviewing them. It's easy to commit every couple of minutes, so I'll do that.

Das Abstruse ist ja: Leute verwenden KI für exakt die Tätigkeiten, die unsere Berufe freudvoll & intellektuell anregend machen. Wer Nachdenken, gute Fragen entwickeln, Texte strukturieren, argumentieren etc. nicht selber machen will: Warum dann Wissenschaft/Journalismus? Fürs Geld wohl kaum. 😬

A take I see often online is that it doesn't matter if code is "clean" - readable, simple, decoupled, easy & fast to test - as long as it works. They're missing the point. Code that's hard to understand, complex, tightly-coupled and hard/slow to test is very likely to break. There's no tradeoff.

Von KI halte ich vor allem eins: Abstand. Ich google die Wörter einfach.
