i have been writing him letters. his current position is at odds with the official PCUSA stance. we went to the same seminary. i am so mad and i'm getting other church ladies to write letters so he can have a real come to jesus moment.

i’m a trans Texan and i’ll be voting for Talarico and strongly encouraging others to vote for him, but i still think he’s a coward for acquiescing to whatever bad advice he received. to some folks that’s unforgivable. i respect that, and you should too. either way, please read the piece.

I've been arguing that trans people have the right to be upset with Talarico, and I think we do. This is the case for vote for him anyway, eloquently made, and by someone with the standing to make it.

Michael Hobbes@michaelhobbes.bsky.social · 2w agoI know this is a common belief, but it’s not true. If people went anti-vaxx/MAHA because they were excluded from the medical establishment, we would see sky-high rates among poor people, minorities and the uninsured. We don’t.
Friday morning, I was gardening when I checked my phone. A request had gone out for help. For 25+ hours, ICE had been laying siege to a quiet neighborhood in Frederick, MD. Community members were afraid, some didn’t want to leave their homes. ICE vehicles seemed to be lurking on every corner.
Which is when ICE decided to drive onto the sidewalk and come straight towards the crowd, forcing them to move out of the way or get run over. One woman did have her foot run over. Thankfully she was wearing steel-toed boots or some sort of protective footwear. (Frederick, MD - September 4, 2026)
