the thing is that none of these guys are actually going to do anything more than sit behind a screen they're not going to do any raping and pillaging, that's not even the "reward" what they get off to is talking about how much they would hypothetically rape and pillage on the internet

I pledge allegiance, to the profits, of the corporations and puppets of America. And to the stakeholders, who all demand, one monopoly, under cis white male God, divisible unevenly among the empowered, for injustice and slavery for all.

It’s almost like green energy is the only way forward and a handful of oil barons are doing everything in their power to keep that from happening so they can get even richer at the cost of literally everything else in the world.

Wall Street’s biggest banks made more money financing green projects than they did from working with fossil fuel companies for a fourth straight year, even as they faced ongoing pressure to pull back from the business

Why did BS stories like the John Kerry swiftboating and Obama birtherism get into major media? Because news bosses wanted to show their “fairness.” I know this because I edited the Chicago Tribune’s first story on Obama’s birth certificate. We didn’t want to touch it. The higher-ups made us. 9/10 🧵

Watched The Blackening last night for the first time... it was SO good. I'm very much a comedy over horror girlie, so it was right up my alley. It's not just your typical parody. Incredibly well done 🙂‍↕️

Whenever people complain about the number of folks relying on food stamps, it is worth reminding them that SNAP is, by too large of a degree, a subsidy for corporations that refuse to pay a living wage and their political allies who reject public policy prescriptions to reduce income inequality.

dear US friends, when a sitting president (re)builds the seat of government, it almost always means the president has no intention of leaving at the end of term. your African friends with decades of experience

It’s hard to convey just how much Chicagoans are mobilizing against ICE. Don’t want to downplay the harm, or make it seem like a fair fight. But in neighborhoods across this city, ICE is getting chased by people blowing whistles and shouting. People are running TOWARD ICE to protect their neighbors.
