Hey, devs? I don't know who needs to hear this, but if you're making a single player game? Start/Esc should ALWAYS, and IMMEDIATELY pause the game. I don't gaf how "epic" you think your camera is I just spilled something. My cat just puked. The dog got out. My kid fell. Fuck you, PAUSE THE GAME

As a game enjoyer and a game dev dabbler. If I see you using actual temp assets that literally says "temp.jpg", then I can see that you are trying and i applaud it. If you have tonnes of genAI assets and just calling it temp to avoid criticism, then I think you're pissing on me and calling it rain

@duckaislop.bsky.social I have another one for your list: The devs of 1666: Amsterdam have confirmed that the game currently contains AI-generated assets. They used the classic "temporary assets made their way into the game" excuse and say the assets will be patched out. x.com/PanacheDGame...

We have a dedicated team of over a dozen talented and experienced artists. With them, we looked into the assets in question and found that there were indeed some early versions of assets that made their way into the the prologue. This includes some in-game portraits and external marketing assets. We are actively reviewing the assets in question. Human made versions will be released in an update dropping soon. We own up to this oversight and apologize for any upset caused. Please be assured that the Early Access and full game will not include any assets generated by AI.

"placeholder text" "concept art" either the temporary thing you put in matters to the process, in which case you need to get a human to work on it, or it doesn't, in which case you can just as easily put a bright pink rectangle that says PLACEHOLDER in and save everyone time and effort

I’m opening a shop on INPRINT! I’ve gotten some messages for a while now asking if I had an online shop and while I don’t currently have there resources for my own personal storefront, I’m happy to say that I’ve found an alternative! Thanks y’all! Please let me know if there’s a questions!
