This is still one of my proudest bits of writing. I wasn't allowed to speak or use Scots as a wee one, so this was a challenge but also such a joy to write. Especially so since we have a canonical Scots speaker in the show and that's so rare π₯Ή #ofmd

don't let people tell you that you're wrong for being creative in a certain way. or don't let people sort of, squash your dreams or the way you see the world. you know, they can eat shit.
β'Klara and the Sun' is an odd little film, but I was completely charmed by it ... I walked away feeling a little lighter and happier, which is no small accomplishment for a movie about death, grief, and a robot trying to understand the human heart." screenzealots.com/2026/10/22/k...
βKlara and the Sunβ
This story about death, grief, and a robot learning to understand the human heart is thoughtful, funny, and surprisingly comforting,

My podfic of Smell the Sea and Feel the Sky by @ofmdzb.bsky.social. When a retired world open water marathon swimming legend met the Gentleman Swimmer.
We were talking about this fic while we stood looking out at Te Moana-o-Raukawa (Cook Strait)! We had largely calm days the whole time we were in Wellington but this water gets violently choppy. A bit of a distance from where Stede lands, but it's SUCH a good fic- worth the read!
