Saw Nolan’s Odyssey finally. For a story I’ve seen interpreted in part or in full so many times, this iteration really found so much that was essential to the human condition that I haven’t seen unpacked this thoughtfully and I really need to see it again.

Just finished Far Flung by @utunu.bsky.social. Fun book! Psi fennecs and sci yeen do lots of camping, hiking and... other activities, while the timer ticks down on their idyll. Leisurely but delivers on its promises. Kept waiting for the shoe to drop, but needn't have; it falls at the appointed time
Celeste and Sandy met one another on the boat from Ireland to Ellis Island in the late nineteenth century and had to overcome some mutual “drinking” complications. They fell hard for each other and have been inseparable since. Except for that one time in Chicago. And, well, more recently… 🦌🖤🐿️

You can kill a French vampire with a baguette. It's a painstaking process but it works.

Not sure what’s brought the topic round today, but I should mention that I’ve never used AI for any part of anything I do; not writing, not editing, not idea prompting, zilch. I love every part of the creative process and all the trial and error of getting it on the page is what makes it validating.
Colonel Sanders has militias in several disaffected States, Chester Chetah has taken faces and we all know it. Ronald will make enemies all float down there and the Koolaid Man can get us out of any building we’re trapped in, no map required.
Things aren't great, let's have some fun
The sequel to Dry Spell is now out in the ethereal world where narrative ghosts haunt their way from screen to screen! No Ouijis needed, just a couple clicks and you too can play with the vamps, weres and witches! Come one, click all!
Now available in eBook: The Iron Ark by @slip-wolf.bsky.social with a stunning cover by @slatedragon.bsky.social baddogbooks.com/product/the-...
We’re all mortal and we’re all gonna be remembered for how we treated people and the kind of world we participated in making. It’s a pretty basic but essential lesson that many won’t learn this side of the sod.
We're looking for a few good zines to have at our table at ComicCon. Specifically, we want zines that: - Talk about what furry means to you - Describe how furry has positively impacted your life - Tells the story of how you found furry - Or just broadly illuminates the fandom and culture
Anthrocon haul! Books by @robmacwolf.thevoice.dog @rukis.bsky.social @ziamacmarten.bsky.social @slip-wolf.bsky.social @kyellgold.com And @scurrow.bsky.social's latest album! Especially excited for Weasel Under The Sun, because its prequel was the first thing my book club ever read!
Retribution’s cold seed found loving nurture in the dark and Ferrault’s children glowed with anticipation as the first straps were tightened.
Fellow authors: no context, the first line of your WIP? It was the first time in his life that he’d ever been alone.
Maga copy pasta from a dude trying to be the tough tabacky-jaw rustler while looking like a Lego mini-fig nobody wants. I can’t believe we almost had this guy 😅
can't stop laughing at this Poilievre: "We will reinstill a warrior culture, not a woke culture."
Add two or more platefuls of other fur’s lunch as an immediate odds multiplier.

Now back in Canada after de-Stating. As usual Anthrocon was a blast and we’ve so many to thank. Special thanks to @jdwrites.bsky.social for organizing a great writing track, @shilohskye.com for spreading the good word in his amazing exhibitions and @furplanet.com for putting it all in so many hands.

It's the penultimate panel of the 2026 @anthrocon.org writing track! This time go on theme and discuss things creepy and scary. Join @mcpolecat.bsky.social and @slip-wolf.bsky.social at 2p in DLCC 310-311 for "Deep in the Shadows- Horror and Creepy Writing" Maybe we'll find Mothman!
This is cool as hell… Also, that’s 310 and 311 right behind it, so it’s most likely a “close the door behind you” policy for all our writing panels today :P @jdwrites.bsky.social
Hey Anthrocon! A few copies of my two horror novels, The Dry Spell and The Iron Ark are still available at the @furplanet.com table. If you bring them by my horror panel at 2 I’d love to sign them in blood. It’ll be blue blood from the unalive body of a G2 pilot pen but it’ll still be really scary👻
