Furries and juggalos are able to understand and explain such things because they lack the social and financial bulwarks that allow traditional commentators and intellectuals to be shielded from the negatives of the reality they inhabit.

I was going to go to bed but I lied this fucking rips huge style and owns on its own merit but if you need a vibe connection to get hooked then imagine Home Is Where, Diarrhea Planet, Iron Chic, Riley!, saturdays at your place, Freelance Whales, and Equipment in a blender and drink that shit.

I’m on vacation and just came down from the mountains to let you all know the trademarked application was denied like ten days ago for being too similar to the trademark for Fursona Pins. He can appeal it, but his reasoning of “This isn’t a furry thing” was unpersuasive to the USPTO.

@boozybadger.lawyersandliquor.com Know anything about trademark law? Some asshat is trying to trademark Fursona. uspto.report/TM/99494928

So apparently some Hollywood reject is trying to trademark the most common word in the fandom: fursona. This impacts every furry and more importantly fursuit makers because they're trying to trademark it under Class 25 (Clothing / Robes) which includes costumes and subsequently fursuits.

USPTO trademark application for Fursona

Today we would like to recognize Ken Sample aka Ken Cougar. A Black man who is credited with creating and coining the term "Fursona". While drawing one of his "Exotics" Ken drew a Cougar character that looked strikingly like himself. Attendees of this conference also wanted their own characters!

Ken is known for his artwork depicting furry feline women and star trek characters. He also assisted in the creation of the Confurence Zero artbook in 1989! Ken is also one of the founders of the macrophile genre! During the 1980s Ken created a large number of species designs with insect traits!

On July 27, 1940 at Warner Bros animation: Tex Avery’s A WILD HARE was released introducing the superstar icon Bugs Bunny we all came to know and love. Voice by Mel Blanc, Bugs’s famous catchphrase "What's up, Doc?" was used for the first time. #OnThisDay
