I think the bad AI/okay AI in scholarship test is this: are you… (1) letting it write blocks of prose for you? If yes, bad AI. (2) Are you letting AI substitute for your independent judgment? If yes, bad AI. Otherwise, everything can be AI, and then any limitation seems meaningless.

there are a lot of philosophical concepts that get egregiously misused out of the seminar room (and in the seminar room, to be fair). but in terms of sheer pernicious misuse "social construct" has gotta be top 5 somewhere and it's not number 5
