📢 I’m proud to announce that I have been shortlisted as a Welsh Labour candidate for Caerdydd Ffynnon Taf. In the weeks ahead I’m looking forward to speaking with members and hearing about the issues that matter to them ahead of next year’s election.

Ramming through assisted suicide and disability benefit cuts in the space of 2 weeks. Hard to believe how little this government values disabled people.

The refereeing of both cymru games this week has been awful. Why does the women's game not have VAR when the men's does ?
This country is incredibly weird for how much it hates young people
This headline & Streeting's words are an insult to the thousands of neurodiverse kids who've been monumentally failed by an NHS on its knees where early interventions are provided by charities - if at all. But yeah, put the onus back on to children to suck it up instead of addressing what's broken
It's almost like working class people want a centre-left party, not what Labour has become
In our latest Barn Cymru poll in partnership with @walesgovernance.bsky.social & @yougov.co.uk, Welsh Labour's Senedd support slumps to historic low whilst Plaid Cymru leads with 30% of the vote share 🗳️ Analysis here👇 @jaclarner.bsky.social @adrianmasters84.bsky.social www.itv.com/news/wales/2...
You’re telling me that right wing voters that Labour was trying to appeal to voted for a right wing party anyway and left wing voters decided not to vote for Labour because they’re too right wing now? Who could have possibly predicted this.
the gordon brown 'bigotted woman' incident broke the brains of labour centrists so completely that 15 years later she is literally the only voter they can conceive of trying to appeal to
Judgement day X only having 28k attendance shows how much damage the WRU has done to the game. Lowest ever attendance at the Pricipality. Over 10k less than the last time it was here. Less than half of the peak attendance.

The author had half a point over bad information online, but the article as a whole has such a medicalised anti-neurodivergent vibe www.independent.co.uk/life-style/b...
We need to stop diagnosing each other with autism and ADHD
As Bella Ramsey reveals their autism diagnosis came after a ‘The Last Of Us’ crew member spotted the signs, Helen Coffey questions why we’ve become so emboldened to pronounce neurodivergence in others

This is one of the most ill-informed pieces about autism/ADHD I have read, which says something, and the lack of options for diagnosis people have. It shouldn't have been run once, let alone twice. Absolute lack of engagement with the reality faced by many neurodivergent individuals.
I would potentially have a lot more time for headlines like this if there was any other way for many people to recognise that they are neurodivergent and start taking steps to actually improve their lives. As there aren't, as there is little support even when diagnosed, I have zero time for them.

Maybe the worst thing about today's radical, unprecedented cuts to PIP and UC health, at least from a policy-making perspective... These savings won't even be achieved. At best they'll be displaced onto NHS or reduced tax from anti-growth impact of declining public services quality
The Health and Disability Green paper will deliver tiny income gains at the cost of major losses for those with health problems or a disability. Restricting PIP qualification to save £5bn would mean between 800,000 & 1.2 million people losing support of between £4,200 & £6,300 per year by 2029-30.
If he believes this then he should be arguing against cutting benefits and spending on services. Fairly obviously.
The thing about the govt is that it wants change, but without upsetting capitalists - hence reforms to local govt & attacks on the civil service & disabled whist not recognizing that our sclerotic productivity growth might be the fault of bosses, rentiers & vested interests.
