there really is something so heartbreaking seeing huge studios with life long fans closing down while more and more genAI games start to flood the industry. support human creativity. support artists, storytellers, coders, and anyone else who works to bring raw spirit to these things.

I think that when artists wish for old DA, it's actually wishing for things to go back to before socials. IDK if people remember, but in DA heyday, artists weren't all sold on the idea of monetizing everything. People joined DA because they wanted a fun & friendly community of other artists first -

As a one person game maker: AI can eat shit. There's SO MUCH ROYALTY FREE STUFF OUT THERE. Or people who really awesome and do things because they believe in you, or for small dollars because we all love creativity. "I'm just one guy" so was the dude that made Stardew "I'm just one guy" is BS

"I'm just one guy and I'm not a big studio so I HAD to use the CSAM tools to make my passion project, there's literally no other way to do it as a single person" I cannot imagine admitting to being this inept on such a scale like this.

People using AI to reverse engineer games to then turn around and publish clones is straight up theft. Why is anyone pretending otherwise? The only thing genAI is good at making is fucking talentless thieves. Prosecute the lot of them. Sue them to hell.
