Im Vordergrund verläuft ein schmaler Wasserlauf durch grüne Salzwiesen. Die Ufer sind von Gras bewachsen und teilweise mit Holzpfählen gesäumt. Im Hintergrund erstreckt sich die offene Landschaft bis zum Horizont. Der Himmel zeigt intensive Orange- und Gelbtöne, die auf einen Sonnenuntergang hindeuten. The photo shows a rare barrel vaulted ceiling, with intricate stonework ribbing centered around a circular hub. Traces of the original painting remain.

Constructed by Dominican monks starting after 1550, the church showcases a unique blend of European Gothic architecture and local Mixtec stonemason artistry. The ceiling decoration is recognized for its detailed tracery and historical significance.

OK, so I'm not looking up at the top but more looking out from the top!

View taken from the top of the roof at Broughton Castle in Oxfordshire, overlooking the Ladies' Garden. Excuse the smudges on the image - am guessing it was my suncreamy fingerprints on my phone lens (am an idiot). It was also more than the outside 34 degrees general temperature up on that furnace hot roof which was lined with lead, and I was keeping an eye on my Dad who had decided he didn't want to miss out.

The garden was so beautiful, especially looking down on it where you could see the box hedges in a fleur-de-lys pattern. These were former C16th kitchen gardens but were redesigned in the 1970s.

In the centre is a circular pink-flowering unruly shrub surrounded by low level shrubs. The garden is walled, though from this angle you can only see sections of it. Beyond the garden wall is a moat reflecting the landscape then there are fields and trees after that. Blue sky overhead.
