i call this "neoteny of the oppressed" btw. because children are the archetypal objects of legitimate coercion (violence, authority, control, etc) any vulnerable group can have their autonomy stripped by first linking them to children & childlikeness. the comparison legitimizes any act of coercion

underrated part of El-Sayed’s messaging strategy seems to be shaming journalists who ask dumb questions that play into right-wing frames. you can’t answer these in a way that satisfies them, but you can make it embarrassing enough that you impose a toll on asking.
My FAQ, which includes questions like “am I transphobic?”, “am I in the Epstein files?”, and “do I have mold in my house?”, is prompting a lot of questions already answered by the FAQ.

Dem centrists will see lgbtq+ and Muslim rights as offensive and an obstacle to winning elections, so they won’t stop trying to attack and purge their own fucking voter base, thinking they can replace them with loyal Republicans.
This is true, but also, liberals don't want to defeat fascism, because they see it as a weapon to wield against socialism. They think they're part of the in-group. This seems laughable on its about-to-be-eaten-by-a-leopard face, of course, but no one accused them of being particularly clever.

So of course Will, who I have never had beef with, compares our anger to a cult and drives extreme harassment my way.

Alejandra Caraballo@esqueer.net · 2d agoA trans man in the UK has been banned in the workplace restrooms after he was forced to use the women's restrooms to comply with the new EHRC guidance. The women complained because he is visibly male and so they told him he can't use any bathroom.

BUT several female colleagues have raised a grievance about him using their gendered toilet.
His employer has told him that he cannot use the toilet while he is at work until they sort it out and cannot give him a timeframe to do so. They do [cut off] have disabled separate toilets.
In the mean time one of his female colleagues has accused him of sexual harassment because he was used their gendered toilet. His menstrual cycle meant he needed to use the toilet.
