I posted the first chapter of Teeth, the mechsploitation story I've been working on, to my Patreon, so folks can get a sneak peek at it for kicking in at the appropriate tier. This'll probably be part of a public-facing teaser sample at some point, but for now I'm keeping it just a bit under wraps.

Hey there, Kanafans. Been a hot minute — sorry about that. When it rains, it really does pour, and this summer has not been a fun one on the

Ow. Right in the increasingly-grey muzzle... Seriously though, I found Sabrina Online not too long after it debuted, and that's how I learned what an Amiga was! (it may also have had some effects on li'l Kana's gender feelings...)

In 1996, Eric W. Schwartz (@ericwschwartz.bsky.social) debuted his webcomic "Sabrina Online". The series grew alongside the internet itself, and certainly influenced several artists around the world. In its 30 years, I'd like to thank Eric for sharing his great talent & humor with us! 🎂🦨

Thinking about webrings and how, prior to search engines getting really good at their job, they were a good vector for discoverability. If you find one website about a topic, you've found a bunch. Now that search engines have become (intentionally) dogshit at their job to sell more ads...

This is true, but also, liberals don't want to defeat fascism, because they see it as a weapon to wield against socialism. They think they're part of the in-group. This seems laughable on its about-to-be-eaten-by-a-leopard face, of course, but no one accused them of being particularly clever.

It sends a pretty strong message that liberals see LGBTQ+ rights as an inconvenience to winning elections rather than standing up for oppressed people being integral to defeating fascism

I am trying not to completely flame out in fury over elected officials trying to rewrite history, but as someone who was routinely called "Osama" PRIOR TO 9/11... ...it somehow got WORSE after it. The "unity" these fuckers talk about is just white people feeling safe openly hating SWANA folks.

One of my most powerful memories of the week following 9/11 was an ABC News roundtable with people from "the heartland" and one woman said begrudgingly of New Yorkers rallying together in their trauma, "Well I guess they're people too." It completely rewrote my understanding of this country

There are already articles circulating trying to rewrite history and say America was great after 9/11 and united and thoughtful and just a reminder that that period was marked by intense and insanely racist hatred, paranoia, and a frothing desire for unhinged violence and oppression.

something i really resent is that they made a machine that uses every public thought we've ever had, and now it's our job to carefully edit every public thought so it doesn't sound like the machine, which is continuing to steal our every public thought by the minute

As someone who has been tweeted about personally by Rowling. And who spends my whole life trying to fight the damage caused by the litigation she funds. I think, personally, I would be less harmed by you giving me an actual kick in the ribs than watching the new Harry Potter & trying to justify it.

As a new Harry Potter trailer makes the rounds, it bears repeating that there’s no way to watch this show without supporting J.K. Rowling’s bigotry and the structural violence she’s inflicting on the trans community.

Just a heads up. I was able to schedule my COVID vaccine appointment. Online it may ask “do you have a condition that puts you at high risk for severe outcomes from COVID-19 virus.” Click yes and it will allow you to schedule an appointment. No questions asked. No proof required. Pass it on.

Also, since it's going around: Yeah. I do not use AI. I would never use AI. Art is the purest expression of the human soul, an upwelling of the ineffable shaped by skill honed with repetition and practice. All AI can do is regurgitate what it steals. That isn't art. It's just shit.

Please be vocal about not using AI. We have to normalize it. No "I'm not going to say that because it should be assumed. I'm not going to give them this". We don't have time for that shit ideological shit right now. NOW is the time to capitalize on waning favorability. Ppl want human made
