It's not a secret that I have a love-hate relationship with LinkedIn. I love what it could be. I hate what it is a lot of the time — a half-hearted cheer squad. So, how do you make it work, without selling your soul? @matthewoxley.bsky.social shares his ideas: chiefstudio.co.uk/blog/the-lon...

I know this runs counter to a lot of advice but… Do not try to improve on the things you’re awful at. You’re probably always going to be bad at them. Instead focus on the things you’re good at. Rise to the absolute top at those things. The rest either doesn’t matter or can be outsourced.
#Copywriters. You are still needed, my god, you are still needed. But the market that 'gets' the value you bring is completely different from the pre-AI era. It's also a lot more fun to work with. Keen to find out more? Join Writers Against the Algorithm! I'm speaking tomorrow on this subject 💪
So I’ve been running some tests, getting the bot to write content about soap and it’s pretty good. I actually nearly changed my opinion of its talents. But then it completely malfunctioned into a brobot spouting garbage the second it had to write about tech again so….. yeah sorry I’m still here 😘
🕺🕺 I’m back, baby. Can’t wait to hang out with the Misfits in London next month at @microconf.com ‘s Growth Retreat! Discount code below if you’re after a ticket to the magic ❤️
Each month, I'll be doing a "deep dive" (🤮) into a word or phrase that's overused and meaningless in B2B. First up… 🥁 good old "actionable". If you like, plz repost — it's the only way posts get seen on here. www.theick.app/blog/ick-wor...
ick word of the month: actionable — ick
B2B marketing is getting more engaging, but in return, we’re drowning in buzzwords—'actionable' being one of the worst. In this word-of-the-month article, see how it jumped from a legal term to a grou...

Honestly where has @amandanat.bsky.social been all my marketing life. What. A. Sage.
If you are using those auto reply things on LinkedIn. Can you just not? #teamhuman

Talking a stream of consciousness into a Loom like a 10 year old version of myself singing Genie in a Bottle into a hairbrush and exporting the transcript is my new blank page weapon. Whats yours? #teamhuman #gettheick
Adding mistakes doesn’t make your writing “not AI.” Adding your perspective, personal stories, and quirks do. We humans also run on LLMs. Little life moments. We’ve just been trained to write like bots. No more. Your unfair advantage is who you are. Use it.
Which industry buzzwords would you like to banish? Thanks so much to @creativeboom.bsky.social for featuring our humble little writing app ❤️ www.creativeboom.com/features/buz...
The buzzwords creatives are ditching in 2025 (and what to say instead)
We explore which buzzwords creatives want to banish and look into a useful new app that might just be the answer to our prayers. Ah, the creative industries—where everyone is an innovator, a disru...

Nobody wants your one-pager. The prospect might *say* they want a one-pager. But what they actually want is all the information to make a buying decision in the least amount of time & effort as possible. Act accordingly.

Today I watched someone else use ick with no context. They did well. It works 👏 But it was still the most terrifying thing I've done so far. I need to go lay down in a cold dark room for a day 🫠
I'll just be here. Testing @theick.app. Copying and pasting websites into it like an evil genius and watching them all light up like Christmas trees

Wheeey shoutout to @benaldred.bsky.social - of all the modes, this one has deffo had the most pre-launch excitement 🤩
With ick, we wanted to experiment with what could make a plain text writing app exceptional and enjoyable. The first 'mode' we created was Dyslexia Friendly mode, inspired by Ben Aldred of Consent Kit.
I’m gonna make a buzzword bingo card to streamline the way I empower decision making and harness the future of actionable insights. Who wants to play?
Is it a bird? Is it a plane? Nope, its a tech bro revolutionizing the landscape of sh*t H1 copy again and streamlining it by unlocking the power of AI.

Can a headline alone be eligible for a Pulitzer?
There are so many strong #socialmedia candidates right now! Love how this industry is evolving; hate having to make hard choices.
So, true story. We were testing @theick.app and Matt told me that what I believed was purple and blue, were the same colour to him. Lo and behold the app we built was not colour-blind friendly at all. So here’s what we did. We chose better colours and fixed it. Inclusion isn’t always hard folks!
Who else is colour blind? I’ve known for a long time and had various tests over the years but haven’t done one for a long time… pilestone.co.uk/pages/colour...
