How’s it doing on Rattan Tomatoes?
i'm done looking at shit for a while
Sorry, forgot to mention Listen Through the Brown Window made it onto the #BritishPodcastAwards Best Comedy longlist. Say nice things now, because given the competition, we aren’t likely to make the shortlist next week!
One sibling is in the same industry as I started in, so I’d be fine. The other is a computer physics professor, so I’m not going near that one!
Thought experiment- if you were suddenly appointed to do your sibling’s job, how badly would you suck at it?
If you weren't aware, Harry's Home starring Phil Davis is available to listen to for free on YouTube. It's an authentic, gently funny and emotional play touching upon the day-to-day realism of living with a Alzheimer's sufferer. www.youtube.com/watch?v=eAf1...

The team having to invent a fictional patient and tell male investors a lovely story because they couldn’t comprehend or empathise with the concept of gynaecological pain is absolutely crackers.
Every time I read a story about gynecology it's always something like "doctors discovered women could experience pain in 1989 but decided not to act on this knowledge for 20 years"
Moved into my garden office for the night last night as it has aircon. Best night’s sleep in weeks. Had to crawl everywhere as it’s basically a pod hotel. Stop zooming in on my shelves, there’s nothing of interest you weirdos #noduvetknowitsaheatwave
So sad to hear this. Wally was one of the Mercury 13 - women who took the same tests as the Gemini 7 astronauts but never went to space. I’m glad she finally made it in 2021. She was fizzing ball of energy even in her late 70s. I’m so grateful I met her. edition.cnn.com/2026/07/09/s...
Had a lovely chat with Martin about Harry’s Home and its journey, which began in 2013…
New episode available where I spoke with @soundliness.com & Hannah Puddefoot about Harry's Home — an audio drama about Alzheimer's, family, and memory, starring Phil Davis & Nicola Bryant. From stage play to studio, free to listen. #AudioDrama #PodsLikeUs #MentalHealth #Alzheimers pod.fo/e/444ede
Britain hasn’t been this united since the Boaty McBoatface incident.
Count Binface. Election candidate.
An accidental comedy masterclass on structuring a joke. Sound very much on.
Unironically this.
Very chuffed to see our scrappy little weird podcast #ListenThrougTheBrownWindow has made the longlist in the comedy category! (Although @podcastingtoday.co.uk managed to leave us off in their press release... *slaps wrists*)

Rather incongruously read this on holiday by a hotel swimming pool last week. Loved it, although I am struggling to look at drill bits at the moment. @davidmbarnett.bsky.social
First they let me play in their sandpit, then they gave me the controls to the MACHINE. This month’s episode of #ListenThroughtheBrownWindow is curated and edited by ME!! Mwah haha haha!!! @soullessparty.bsky.social open.spotify.com/episode/0rGI...

Something to amuse the punctuation fans. Is this “Alexander the Great - Beach Hotel” or “Alexander: The Great Beach Hotel” or “Alexander the Great Beach: Hotel” or….
I am in Cyprus. I have never before been happier to go on holiday where the daily average temperature is still warm and sunny, but 7C less than today’s high in London.
In the chat for one of the local theatre groups. Would love to see a liberated, free love, hippie version.

Just driven myself mad trying to remember which film used an instrumental of Peter Gabriel’s Big Time, because Gary Davies just played it on Radio 2. Spaceballs. The answer is Spaceballs.
LISTEN THROUGH THE BROWN WINDOW A Clopper Special of this award winning podcast arrives tomorrow with @misterabk.bsky.social as one of the special guests. I drew this fun promotional image. Listen Through The Brown Window wherever you get your podcasts.
I was all over Broken Veil as soon as I heard about it - creepy folk hyper-real narrative? Yes please. And that was even before I discovered it was set in and around where I live. Always fun spotting the actual, real-but-not-real locations… anyway. Cough up, go listen.
Thanks for all the kind words about the latest episodes. It means a lot that the graft n craft is being appreciated… So happy it’s keeping you all hooked. #BrokenVeil
