I hate when people complain about Monster of the Week as a format. A new monster every week? Are you even listening to yourselves?
That reminds me of how a certain subset of video game fan seems to not only disregard critic's reviews (their choice obv) but actively think critics are trying to take down games and trick people into hating them and. No that's not how it works
And the variant on this, that people didn't hate things before the internet (really Youtube), usually said about movies that were widely mocked flops in their time! People can just hate stuff, rightly or wrongly, and you don't have to attribute it to The Internet
