I am optometrist by nature, you know? Some have asked: profile pic is Bobbie (she/her), GSP mix rescue, banner pic is Mortimer (he/him), mountain cur mix rescue. Don’t adopt hound dogs if you don’t want PITA dogs but they are precious life forms.

$26.82 a gallon for gas. That’s what some Alaskans are facing right now, and it’s only getting worse. We need a senator solving the problem, not one still voting for a war that keeps driving prices up.

Is it “extremely flattering” to report that Vance repeatedly blatantly lied about the situation? Why is the lying presumed to be forgivable? “Well, he had to appease Trump.” YES! He betrayed his oath, acting in Trump’s interest instead of the nation’s. That seems pretty damning. Or it should be.

This article is what's called a "beat sweetener," where access journalists write a story that's extremely flattering to one of their sources in order to keep the line open www.nytimes.com/2026/09/10/u...

Yes, I know the law says that it's criminal to bribe people for their votes, but not when the president does it, because he is above criminal law. Else he would not be free to make the tough choices, like whether to bribe people for their votes.

Any Democrat running for president in 2028 not pledging to tear down this grotesque thing and tear down the ballroom must not get the nomination. And they better make good on that pledge.👇

House Republicans failed to muster the necessary votes to back a proposed constitutional amendment that would set membership of SCOTUS at nine, although they did remind everyone that the number of justices is not enshrined in the Constitution and can be amended at any time by statute.

I sent feedback to Google Maps, told them they were quisling bitches, and deleted the app. Fucking cowards scrambling at the mad king’s command. What’s the point of being one of the biggest companies in the world if you’re still just a toady?

The renaming of this lake is so dumb and petty and should not be the focus of the news right now but … I cannot overstate enough just how sad and pathetic this update is for Google

In the midst of an awful lot of ever-so-sophisticated equivocating and oh-so-thoughtful-chin-stroking and too-clever-by-half-over-thinking, I just want to say, simply and unequivocally and for the record: The Resistance Libs Were Right.
