Marc Hedlund@marcprecipice.bsky.social · 2w agoPart-way through elementary school, a teacher realized I couldn’t see the chalkboard and suggested I get my eyes tested. When I got thick glasses soon after, I realized for the first time that you could see leaves while they were still up on trees.
Just trying to remember that it can still be quiet and peaceful sometimes.

I remember when Sean Connery won the Oscar for untouchables, and I remember a lot of the conversation at the time was about how he was old now and had never won an Oscar and this was awarded to him as a sort of mercy Oscar while he was still alive. He was 57.
