The same people who insist we stop talking about past failures and focus on the next election wrongly claimed that our institutions would save us from Trump's fascists and insisted that we stop criticizing Biden, Garland, congressional Democrats and the other failed leaders of our institutions.
yeah, I mean, there's a reason the Niemoller poem has "first we came for the communists" in there. and a reason that that is the line that is rarely if ever quoted.

He arrived to find a concentration camp already full of communists and other leftist dissidents. The public's acceptance of their incarceration paved the road for his own.
The last Republican President to not start a Middle East war was Reagan and that's because he was illegally selling weapons to Iran to fund an illegal war in Central America.

Trump’s disastrous failures are not his alone. They are America’s failures, as well. Trump is an ignorant criminal, rapist and pathological liar who can do nothing without significant support (or surrender) from voters, media, government, religion and business. The American rot goes deep.
Israel (Netanyahu) has no incentive to stop the bombing, bulldozing or ethnic cleansing In Lebanon or Gaza. Perpetuating America’s fight with Iran is a feature, not a bug.
Don’t worry. Trump’s upcoming invasion of Cuba will make everyone forget about his Iran debacle.
Remember this scene the next time a corporate reporter tries to insist that a rural diner full of white men in their 60s is somehow a more authentically "American" place, somehow more representative of who we are as a nation.
