This is the first one I've made where I mixed and brushed the chemicals myself. At first it will mostly be photograms, but I'm hoping to use negatives at some point.
If you followed or signal-boosted the claims a few weeks back by the historian who said the graphic novelist had done an unauthorized adaptation of her work on Charity & Sylvia, a lesbian couple from 19th c Vermont, please read this essay from someone who fact-checked these claims in detail.

Did some tea toning of yesterday's prints. First print is untoned for comparison.
Day 6: still not enough details on the flowers. Maybe they're just too opaque? I can see through them when I hold them up to the light 🤷♀️ more success with the egg carton, just did it a little late in the day so the shadows are long.

folks donating to state legislative candidates is some of the biggest bang for your buck you can get in politics if you want to feel like you’re making a difference and not just throwing your money in the ocean, this is where to focus your efforts

Okay when I first started this whole cyanotype business I was like "it's kinda fun! I like relying on sunlight instead of a UV box!" But now it's raining 😭 Luckily I do have some UV light strips from when I'd fix up g1 my little pony, so maybe I can repurpose those.
Was pretty disappointed with Day 4 so I'm not going to post but here's Day 5! Dealing with a lot of rain and clouds.

Did leaves & dried anchovies, then was determined to get details on the leaf so I doubled the exposure time to no avail. I think it needs 20+ minutes.
The majority of people responding to this post appear not to have read it. Moderates Dems *are* supporting Al-Sayed. The NYT is platforming a single dead-ender in an effort to obscure this reality. Don’t do their work for them.

Last night my 3yo heard me make an eggo waffle when I thought he was asleep and now I'm receiving the Spanish Inquisition. "Why did you eat a waffle?" "I think you made a waffle and bread. I heard two toasts."
Every time I do anything visual artsy I feel frustrated because I feel really lacking in the basics. I'm shit at color and composition, even compared to random people without art backgrounds. It's hard coming from something where I have a lot of fluency (writing) to something where I have none.
Okay but like can you masturbate to each other on the other side of a big room because that could be hot.

New hobbies are such a drug to me. But at least my hobby isn't drugs?

Mr Sparrow after finishing The Tainted Cup/A Drop of Corruption: ugh I'm rereading Dracula and it's suddenly such a slog... I loved it the first two times! Me: it's The Tainted Cup effect! It's the ultimate romp book! You have to slowly readjust back to normal literature!
Not super happy with all my glaze results from this class, but I do think this porcelain bowl is my best so far.
Moseyed over to the Widow's Bay AO3 just out of curiosity. Shaping up to be a fun time. My only complaint so far is why no Patricia/Original Female Character(s) aka me.
I'm very lucky to have been able to achieve my dream aquarium - 240litres to replace my two smaller tanks. I've gradually been breaking down my two tanks and transferred everything to this set-up. I currently have a get-along barrier up to stop my two Bristlenose groups fighting!
