You have to hope that they ended it by simultaneously all sacking each other.
That’s a shame. House Of All really seemed to be on a roll and, if anything, they kept getting better and better.

People still come up and tell me how it inspired them. It's been translated into several languages. The moral of the story: if you have a good idea, make it happen.

When researching for my interviews in the Record Collector XTC special, I came across this quote from Robert Plant. Didn’t make it into my copy but I asked Partridge and Chambers (separately), “Are you aware that you influenced Led Zeppelin?” Neither knew about this and they were both delighted!
